The Ursinus baseball team strung together six hits and a walk
to score five runs in the third inning en route to a 6-1 win over
Muhlenberg in the Centennial Conference opener for both teams.
The Mules (9-9, 0-1) scored their lone run in the top of the sixth when junior Justin Rubenstein (right) singled and came around on a double by senior Joshua Carter. Muhlenberg got the tying run to the plate in the top of the eighth when three straight two-out hits loaded the bases, but the Bears (6-10, 0-1) got out of the jam. Rubenstein and Carter each had two hits for the Mules. |
