Ursinus (9-0), Gettysburg (8-1) and Washington (7-2) have clinched the top three seeds for this weekends CC playoffs. Franklin & Marshall (5-3), Western Maryland (4-3) and Swarthmore (3-4) are alive for the fourth. Western Maryland hosts the other two teams on Tuesday (F&M) and Wednesday (Swarthmore). |
Mens Golf Third at F&M: In its best showing of the season, the
Muhlenberg mens golf team finished third out of 11 teams at the
Franklin & Marshall Invitational. The Mules finished three strokes behind
The College of New Jersey and 11 behind Gettysburg while defeating four
other Centennial Conference teams (F&M, Swarthmore, Dickinson and Ursinus.
Senior Rich Jacobs and sophomore Matt Katz tied for eighth, each shooting

Mens Tennis Postponed: The scheduled mens tennis match against defending CC champion Washington was rained out. LESKO MAKES USBL SQUAD
As reported in The Morning Call on Sunday, Lesko succeeded in his tryout after being selected in the seventh round of the USBL draft on April 9. In the article, Darryl Dawkins, the Valley Dawgs head coach, was quoted as saying, He has a great attitude ... Until somebody comes in here and beats him out, its his job. The Valley Dawgs are the defending USBL champions. Last year, Minnesota Vikings receiver Randy Moss played for the team. Lesko didnt travel to Florida over the weekend for the Valley Dawgs first two games of the season, but is expected to make his professional debut at Brooklyn on Friday, April 27. His home debut will be the following Friday, May 3. The Valley Dawgs play at Lehighs Stabler Arena. |
