MEN’S TENNIS DROPS FINALE

The Muhlenberg men’s tennis team dropped its season finale, 6-0 to Washington, in a match that started outdoors and was moved indoors due to rain. Only the singles matches were played.

In spite of the loss, the Mules (9-5, 4-4) finished with at least nine wins for the third straight year. That hadn’t happened since 1940-42. The Shoremen (15-3, 8-0), who extended their Centennial Conference winning streak to 72, are ranked sixth in Division III.

Freshman Jeff Kraft, who played fourth singles most of the season, fell in straight sets at No. 2 for his first dual-match loss of the spring. With a 13-1 record, he had the most singles wins by a Muhlenberg player since 1941.
