King’s and Southern Maine, two teams that Muhlenberg played during the season, advanced to the Sweet 16 ... In the ECAC Tournament, Swarthmore upset top seed and host Moravian in the semifinals before dropping a 71-66 decision to Lebanon Valley in the championship game.

Men’s Basketball

Freshman John Westendorf of the John Westendorf Muhlenberg men’s lacrosse team has been named co-player of the week by the Centennial Conference.

Westendorf was honored after leading Muhlenberg to wins in its first two varsity games since 1980 by tallying 12 goals and two assists. He tied a school record with seven goals in a 14-6 win against Centenary, and added five more as the Mules set team records for goals and margin of victory by defeating SUNY Farmingdale, 21-4.
