• Baseball: Franklin & Marshall 5, Muhlenberg 4; Franklin & Marshall 5, Muhlenberg 4. The Diplomats (8-7, 3-1) swept a Centennial Conference doubleheader from the Mules (10-6, 1-2), winning both games with walkoff hits in the bottom of the seventh.

Muhlenberg came back from a 4-0 deficit to tie the nightcap, scoring three runs in the fourth on three straight doubles (by sophomore C.J. Kessler, freshman Brian LaRochelle and junior Joel Rush) and tying the game in the top of the seventh on an RBI groundout by freshman Ryan Jaxheimer.

In the first game, it was F&M that came back from behind. Sophomore Gregg Burkhart recorded his third game with double digits in strikeouts, fanning 10.

• Women’s Lacrosse: Franklin & Marshall 19, Muhlenberg 7. Three members of the Muhlenberg women’s lacrosse team – freshmen Jessica Geiger, Shannon Donohue and Courtney Tapkas – scored two goals apiece in a loss to 15th-ranked Franklin & Marshall (4-2, 2-0). Tapkas also recorded two assists and leads the Mules (3-4, 1-2) with 30 points. Click here for box score.

• Men’s Lacrosse: Franklin & Marshall 14, Muhlenberg 3. The Mules (4-3, 0-3) lost their third straight as 10th-ranked F&M (8-0, 3-0) remained undefeated. Click here for box score.

The Muhlenberg women’s tennis team swept singles in an 8-1 win at Dickinson to even out its overall record to 3-3 and improve to 3-2 in the Centennial Conference.

Freshman Amy Schmidt lost her first set 6-2, but came back and won 6-4 in the second and 10-6 in the third. Teammates Emily Oster, Sarah Niebler and Megan Schreiber were all victorious in both singles and doubles play. Niebler’s two wins gave her 48 for her career in spring dual-match play, moving her into seventh place on the program’s all-time list.

At No. 1 singles, junior Gena Ross won in straight sets against a Red Devil player who finished third at the CC Individual Championships last spring.
