Washington (10-2, 8-0) clinched the regular-season championship and homefield for the playoffs with a 14-4 win at previously undefeated McDaniel (10-1, 6-1) ... Franklin & Marshall (10-2, 5-2) defeated Gettysburg (9-4, 5-2), 15-12, in a matchup of the other two playoff teams. |
The baseball game at Dickinson was postponed for a second time due to
rain. There is no makeup date yet.
Westendorf Named Player of the Week
For the second time this season, freshman John Westendorf of the
Westendorf has honored after scoring five goals, including the game-winner, as the Mules defeated Ursinus, 9-8, for their first-ever Centennial Conference victory. He notched the game-clincher 1:32 into overtime. Muhlenberg finished its first varsity season since 1980 with a 5-7 record. Westendorf ended the year as the teams leading goal scorer (25). He earned CC honors previously after scoring seven goals against Centenary. Other Muhlenberg athletes named to the CC Weekly Honor Roll were senior Justin Graf (baseball), juniors Danielle DeLucia (softball), Amanda Ibey (softball) and Chris OConnor (baseball) and freshman Courtney Tapkas (womens lacrosse). |
