![]() A weekly look at whats going on in the Centennial Conference:
Gettysburg won the CC championship by defeating Franklin & Marshall, 8-6, in the title game and will host Scranton in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Washington, the CC champion, earned an NCAA Tournament date with Hampden-Sydney. Franklin & Marshall received an at-large bid and will face Lynchburg in the second round.
Swarthmore blanked Mary Washington, 7-0, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, but was defeated by Washington & Lee, 8-1, in the second round.
Washington was eliminated from the NCAA Tournament with a second-round loss to Mary Washington, 4-1. The Shoremen defeated Washington & Lee by a 4-2 score in the first round. |

After winning the Centennial Conference championship, the Muhlenberg
The Mules (14-19) are the fifth seed and will face Hunter (22-11-1), the champion of the City University of New York Athletic Conference, in the regionals first game on Friday, May 9, at 10:00. Muhlenberg and Hunter were scheduled to play on April 24, but that doubleheader was cancelled. The Hawks are making their third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Following is the schedule for Friday:
Game 1: (5) Muhlenberg (14-19) vs. (4) Hunter (22-11-1), 10:00 In addition to Moravian, other teams in the field of 43 that Muhlenberg has faced this year include Washington (Mo.) and defending national champion Ithaca. Check back later in the week for a tournament preview.
