With the game tied, 1-1, with one out in the second, senior Kate Dischino singled and advanced to second on an error on a groundball hit by sophomore Andrea Cohen. DeLucia held Maryville (5-8) hitless until the fourth, when the Saints scored a pair on a home run, a double and an error. They doubled twice and scored two more to win it in the seventh.
