March Madness arrived this week with two snowstorms that wreaked further havoc with the Muhlenberg athletic schedules.

The bad weather forced the cancellation of the softball tournament at Kean. The Mules were to have faced Cortland State on Friday and Ithaca on Saturday.

Also cancelled was the DeSales Invitational track meet. That moved the scheduled start of Muhlenberg’s outdoor season to next Friday, at the Lehigh Valley Championships.

Baseball, which played a home game on March 4 before leaving for Florida, lost its second game since coming back from Spring Break. The Mules’ Saturday game against Drew was postponed, and the team will try to get Cedarcreek Field ready for Tuesday’s Centennial Conference opener against Dickinson.
