MEM HALL RESURFACING COMPLETE
|
For the first time since 1994, the Memorial Floor has been resurfaced and
repainted. The most noticeable difference is that the keys were not
painted red, leaving the natural wood to show through. The wood also
shows through in the baseline lettering (right). The script
Mules on the court has been replaced with the Centennial
Conference logo. One result of the new look is that the 50-year-old
facility is much brighter.
|
The athletic department offices have temporarily moved to where the
fitness loft used to be. They eventually will be set up permanently in the
40,000-squre-foot addition to the Life Sports Center. The athletic
department had to move because ...
|
... this is what the old athletic office looks like. The floor has been
dug up all the way through the coaches suite for pipe work. The coaches
are sharing Room 138 for the summer before they move to their permanent
locations.
|
Where the athletic department is now will ultimately be the Mel
Kessler 59 Basketball
Suite. The basketball offices will overlook Memorial Hall.
|
On the other side, the basketball suite also will overlook the field
house, which is currently being resurfaced. The first coat has been laid
on half of the field house.
