The 40,000-square-foot addition to the Life Sports Center is taking shape as the targeted completion date of August 15 nears.

FIELD HOUSE

Resurfacing of the field house floor has been completed, including the infield ...

... and the track.

A jump pit (above) and pole vault box will enable Muhlenberg to host limited indoor track meets.

Although it is hard to see in the picture, the indoor track features the same polyurethane surface as the outdoor track (which also was resurfaced and relined).

ADDITION – UPPER LEVEL

A row of offices sits along the curved glass wall. The cross country, field hockey, football, lacrosse, soccer and track coaches will occupy the offices, which overlook Scotty Wood Stadium and Varsity Field. Straight back and to the right will be the athletic department main office. Several conference rooms will be nearby.

This area, which also overlooks the Stadium, will be the home of the new cardio center.

ADDITION – MAIN LEVEL

This spacious area on the main level is for the new weight room.

To the north of the weight room (towards Liberty Street) will be the Life Sports Center Cafe.

ADDITION – LOWER LEVEL

The training room will move downstairs and into this office.

The lower level also includes locker rooms and an equipment room.
