The Haverford women’s lacrosse team never trailed en route to handing Muhlenberg its first conference loss in almost a month, 11-8.

Muhlenberg (5-3, 2-2) trailed 2-0 early, but cut the gap to one on junior Steph Light’s fourth goal of the season. Haverford (5-4, 1-2) ran off the next three goals, and led 6-4 at halftime.

Down 7-4 after the Fords opened the scoring in the second half, Muhlenberg again closed the margin to two when junior Courtney Tapkas scored on a beautiful feed from junior Shannon Donohue. The Mules could not keep it going, however, and Haverford scored the next three goals and maintained at least a three-goal advantage the rest of the game.

Donohue had three assists, and senior Christa Carlstrand led the Mules with three goals.
