TENNIS WINS FOURTH STRAIGHT
Junior Amy Schmidt, sophomore Pam Kimmelman and freshman
Ashley
For the second time in four days, the Mules (7-3, 4-1) handed a Centennial Conference foe its first conference loss of the season. The Blue Jays came in 6-1 overall and 2-0 in the CC. Schmidt rolled to her 20th straight dual-match win, scoring her fourth 6-0, 6-0 victory in 10 matches this year. She and Reed remained undefeated at No. 1 doubles with an 8-2 win. Senior Emily Oster, honored before the match as Muhlenbergs lone senior, teamed with Kimmelman for an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles, setting the school record for career doubles victories (40). The Mules have now won 29 in a row at home.

Lacrosse Gets Balanced Scoring and Great Goalkeeping
The Muhlenberg womens lacrosse team started off strong, scoring the first two goals of the game, and never looked back as it overcame Swarthmore, 14-8. The Mules (6-4, 3-3) had six different players score the first seven goals of the first half
The Garnet (7-4, 2-3) scored a quick goal coming out of halftime. However, three consecutive goals in four minutes by junior Jessica Geiger, senior Christa Carlstrand and sophomore Katie Reimann put a damper on the Garnet comeback. Junior Courtney Tapkas led Muhlenberg on offense with three goals and four assists, while Carlstrand added three goals and one assist. Senior goalie Diana Bleakley recorded a season-high 22 saves, which paved the way for the Mules success despite getting outshot, 41-30. I knew I was physically capable of a game like this; I just needed to mentally get myself prepared, commented Bleakley after her sixth career 20-save game. We had a tough week of practice and it really paid off. Individually everyone worked hard at their own game and we all just really pulled it together here today, she added.
