Bradley Lutzer Two Muhlenberg men’s lacrosse players have been named to the All-Centennial Conference team.

Senior defenseman Bradley Lutzer earned second-team honors. Lutzer (left) led the Mules with 72 ground balls, which also led all CC players other than faceoff specialists. Muhlenberg’s lone senior, Lutzer also scored one goal and added two assists.

Sophomore Kyle Hart received honorable mention as a defensive midfielder. Hart was second to Lutzer with 67 ground balls and scored five goals.

Lutzer and Hart are the first two Muhlenberg players to earn All-CC honors since men’s lacrosse was reinstated as a varsity sport in 2003.

Senior pitcher Gregg Burkhart and sophomore catcher A.J. Bettini of the Muhlenberg baseball team received All-CC honorable mention.

Burkhart was 3-1 with a 4.97 ERA and led the Mule staff in innings pitched (50.2), strikeouts (45) and opponents’ batting average (.249) in 2005. He finished his career as the program’s all-time leader in strikeouts (203) and strikeouts per nine innings (9.2). Burkhart, who also earned All-CC honorable mention in 2003, had a career record of 12-7.

Bettini hit .333 in his first season as a starter and led the CC with a .436 batting average in league games. He had four doubles and three triples and was fourth on the team with 24 RBI.
