Senior John Brodowski of the Muhlenberg track and field team tuned up for the NCAA Championships by competing in the long jump and 400-meter intermediate hurdles at Villanova’s Tuppeny Twilight Meet. He finished sixth in the jump (20-8¼) and eighth in the hurdles (56.71).

Brodowski is expected to get his third straight bid to the national meet in the decathlon. Although he has not qualified automatically, his provisional qualifying score of 6405 currently ranks 10th on the Division III performance list.

The field for the NCAA Championships will be announced Sunday night.

Fourteen other Mules, some with a chance to strengthen their chances of making the NCAAs, will compete at the ECAC Championships Thursday and Friday.
