Playing without its complete lineup, the Muhlenberg womens tennis team fell at The College of New Jersey, 7-2. The loss was the Mules third in a row this spring against a ranked opponent. TCNJ, which plays its traditional season in the fall, is ranked ninth in the Northeast Region. Senior Amy Schmidt, third in the Atlantic South Region in singles rankings released today, was under the weather and played only doubles, dropping a close 9-7 match. Schmidt and her doubles partner, freshman Carly Rotfeld, are ranked ninth in the region. Rotfeld won two close sets to pick up a win at No. 2 singles. Muhlenbergs other point came at No. 2 doubles, where junior Pam Kimmelman and freshman Jenn Powell eked out a 9-7 victory. |
