The Muhlenberg mens lacrosse team jumped out to a 5-1 lead and
With one game remaining in the regular season, the Mules (6-6, 3-4) have a chance to finish at .500 in the Centennial Conference after entering the season with only one CC win in their history. Junior Sean Toohill was involved in half of the Muhlenberg goals, scoring three and assisting on two others. Toohills first goal, a man-up score assisted by junior Cliff Burwell with 11:15 left in the second quarter, capped a run of four straight goals that gave the Mules a 5-1 advantage. Their cushion was at least three goals the rest of the way until the Bears (4-10, 1-6) scored twice in the final 32 seconds. Sophomore Mickey Norton tied a school record with his 39th career assist when he fed freshman Nick Fletcher for a man-up goal in the third quarter. Sophomore Tim Martin won nine of 13 faceoffs, going 4-for-5 in the third, and picked up seven ground balls. Junior Kyle Hart added five ground balls. |
