Both Muhlenberg golf teams finished the Centennial Conference Championships in the same place in which they started the final round.

The women’s team took second place, its best showing at the CC Championships since winning the title in 2001.

The Mules had a player shoot the lowest score for the second day in a row, but it was a different player. Sophomore Dana Lynn Bielecki carded an 87, two strokes better than anyone else and 14 strokes better than her first-round score, to tie for fourth place. Junior Kristen Amore, the leader after 18 holes, slipped to third, but her score of 187 was the best ever by a Muhlenberg golfer at the CC Championships.

Bielecki and Amore are the first pair of Mule teammates to finish in the top five at the CC Championships.

The men could not catch up to fourth-place Swarthmore and remained in fifth place for the third straight round.

Freshman Bill Snow finished in ninth place with a 54-hole total of 244.
