Caitlin Heffern
The women placed in the top five a total of seven times in the three throws, including a fourth-place finish by freshman Caitlin Heffern in the javelin.
Sometimes just getting to the finish line is an accomplishment by itself. Less than a week after a late winter storm dumped several inches of snow on Scotty Wood Stadium, the Muhlenberg track and field teams were able to open their outdoor season at home,

In addition to winning the 200 from the outside lane, Lachaud won his heat of the 100 meters, finishing third overall.
hosting five other schools in the Lehigh Valley Championships.

Despite the less-than-ideal conditions created by rain, which ranged from drizzle to downpour during the meet, the Mules turned in some strong performances.

Three Muhlenberg athletes – sophomores Janette Adams (5,000 meters) and Evan Sheppard (discus) and freshman Jeremiah Lachaud (200 meters) won their events.

The Mules combined for seven ECAC-qualifying performances, including two by senior Rachel Drosdick (long jump and 100-meter hurdles).

Freshman Alex Faust tied the school record in the pole vault by clearing 10 feet.
