Seven Mules qualified for the ECAC Championships, and senior Sarah Mitchell provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships in the javelin with a throw of 131-11. Muhlenberg also had 28 performances earn spots on the all-time top-10 lists.

In the pole vault, freshman Alex Faust cleared 10-10 to set a school record and qualify for ECACs. Senior Rachel Drosdick, meanwhile, was the only Muhlenberg athlete to win two events, as she finished first in the women’s 100-meter hurdles (15.99) and high jump (5-2).

The only women’s relay team to win an event, freshman Lauren Conicella, sophomore Kathryn Niedzwiecki, junior Emily Karel, and sophomore Amanda Martini finished the 4x400 in 4:19.06.

On the men’s side, senior Matthew Sallese finished first in the shot put with a throw of 45-8½. The other two first place finishes for the men came in relays. Junior Dan Steinhart, freshman Eric Miller, freshman William Ryan and sophomore Danny Goldstein finished the 4x400 in 3:29.36. In the 4x800, an 8:13.88 finish earned sophomore Gregory Ceponis, sophomore Stuart Udis, senior Stephen Rothwell and senior John Dyer the top spot.

Senior Tim Seeley (left) was one of three Mules to travel to Widener’s Danny Curran Invitational to run the 10,000 meters. His second-place time of 32:24.56 qualified for ECACs, broke the previous meet record and missed the Muhlenberg school record by just seven seconds. At right, senior Jacquelyn Inverso hands off to senior Lauren Carballo in the 4x100. Inverso finished first in the triple jump.

Freshman Janelle Mentrikoski (left) earned the first individual No. 1 finish of her career in the 400-meter hurdles. Her time of 1:09.57 was a three-second improvement from last week and the second-best all-time at Muhlenberg. Sallese (right) was the only individual men’s athlete to finish first in an event.
