WOMENS TENNIS FALLS
The Muhlenberg womens tennis team suffered its second loss to a nationally ranked team, falling at 10th-ranked Mary Washington, 7-2. The Mules (3-3) began the spring with a loss to Johns Hopkins, then ranked 26th and now 15th. Senior Pam Kimmelman and sophomore Carly Rotfeld won at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively, for Muhlenbergs two points. Rotfeld scored a 6-0, 6-0 shutout against a player ranked 32nd in the Atlantic South Region. |
Freshman Kimberly Snyder of the Muhlenberg womens golf
team held on to her first-round lead to win
medalist honors at the McDaniel Nike Spring Invitational.
Snyder shot an 83 on the final 18 holes to finish with a two-day total of 158, 12 strokes ahead of the second-place golfer. Her 158 set a school record for a two-round event. Snyder has competed in three tournaments this year and won them all. |
