MEN’S GOLF FINISHES THIRD

The Muhlenberg men’s golf team finished in third place at the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Invitational, just six strokes behind Division I Lafayette. This is the second tournament in a row that the Mules have competed against Division I teams.

Sophomore Bill Snow and freshman Biff Slocum paced the Mules, finishing in a tie for fourth place by shooting a four-over-par 76. Junior Garrett Carpenter ended the day with an 80, good for a three-way tie of 10th place.

With their third-place finish, the Mules finished ahead of Moravian for the first time in this tournament since 2001 and picked up another point in the Matte Award standings. The score is now 11-3 in favor of Muhlenberg with four sports left to play, including softball and men’s and women’s track and field this weekend.
