Women’s Lax Streak Snapped

Defending national champion Franklin & Marshall snapped Muhlenberg women’s lacrosse team’s three-game winning streak, claiming an 18-4 decision.

Freshman goalkeeper Allisyn Vachon made career-high 15 saves for the Mules (7-3, 2-3), whose three losses are all to nationally ranked teams.

Winston ran her CC singles mark to 4-1 with a 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) victory at No. 5.
Eight was the magic number as the Muhlenberg women’s tennis team won its third consecutive Centennial Conference encounter.

The Mules won eight matches to defeat Gettysburg for the eighth straight year, tying the all-time series at eight. They limited the Bullets to a total of eight earned games in the three doubles matches.

Juniors Jenn Powell and Carly Rotfeld registered an 8-4 success at No. 1 doubles before claiming straight-set victories at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, respectively.

Freshman Sara Sutker posted a win at No. 2 doubles and also won at No. 4 singles.

Freshmen Danielle Winston and Lindsay Schmidt extended their undefeated run in CC play at No. 3 doubles with an 8-2 triumph.

Senior co-captain Jacquelyn Magner returned to the Mule starting lineup at No. 6 singles with a 6-1, 6-1 victory.
