armstrong picked for
all-star game

Recent Muhlenberg graduate Taylor Armstrong was selected to play in the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association/Under Armour North-South Senior All-Star Game. The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 14, at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, Pa.

Armstrong was one of 21 seniors chosen for the South squad. Her teammates are from Catholic, Dickinson, FDU-Florham, Franklin & Marshall, Gettysburg, Goucher, Guilford, Lycoming, Mary Washington, Messiah, Notre Dame (Md.), St. Mary’s, Salisbury, Stevens and Virginia Wesleyan.

Armstrong had an outstanding senior campaign, earning All-Centennial Conference honorable mention after leading the CC in assists per game (3.13) and finishing second in points per game (5.13). Through games of May 11, she ranked sixth in Division III in assists per game and 24th in points per game. Armstrong set school records for assists in a career (88) and season (50) and totaled 82 points, the second-best single-season mark in team history.
