Sophomore Ashley Brewer of the Muhlenberg softball team was named co-player of the week by the Centennial Conference.
Brewer hit .560 in 25 at-bats on the Mules’ Spring Break trip to Florida. She had multiple hits in five of the eight games, including a 4-for-4 effort against
Eastern Mennonite, and an .800 slugging percentage. She stroked two doubles and two triples and drove in six runs.
Brewer also did well as a pitcher, compiling a 1.19 ERA in five appearances in the circle, with 35 strikeouts in 30 1/3 innings. She tossed a two-hit shutout against
Heidelberg.
