Muhlenberg was tied for fifth after the first round of the Glenmaura National Collegiate Invitational.

The Mules are involved in a tight competition, with the top seven teams separated by six strokes. Freshman Matthew Cohen tied for fourth with a four-over-par 75.

The Mules dropped their fourth straight match on Saturday, losing 6-3 at Franklin & Marshall. The contest was decided by three three-set singles match, two of which went to the Diplomats.

Freshman Jordan Rutt followed up his No. 1 doubles victory by winning in three sets at No. 3 singles.
