bracetty hired as xc coach

David Bracetty has been named head cross country coach at Muhlenberg. He replaces Will Elson, who left after three years to become a graduate assistant at East Stroudsburg University.

Bracetty is a 2008 graduate of East Stroudsburg, where he ran track and field and was named a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete. He earned his Level One USATF Coaching Certification in 2008 and was an assistant cross country coach at William Allen High School that fall.

Last spring, Bracetty was an assistant coach with the Muhlenberg track and field teams, working with the mid-distance runners.

A district runner-up in the 800 meters while a student at William Allen, Bracetty is a freelance photographer for Runner’s World, Running Times Magazine, TrackShark.com and Runnerspace.com. He has served as a public relations assistant at the Reebok Grand Prix, Millrose Games and Penn Relays.
