The Muhlenberg womens golf team saved its best for last in 2006,
finishing second at the Centennial Conference Championships. It was the

Amore averaged a school-record 94.3 strokes in six rounds and was named to
the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District third team.

Mules best finish since winning the Conference title in 2001.
The team was led by its formidable 1-2 punch of junior Kristen
Amore and
sophomore Dana Lynn Bielecki. Amore grabbed the early lead at the
CC meet
by shooting an 89 in the first round. Bielecki carded an 87,
Muhlenbergs
season low and the best round of any player in the tournament, on the
second 18 holes.
With Amore finishing third and Bielecki tying for fourth, the duo became
the first pair of Muhlenberg players to place in the top five. Amores
36-hole total of 187 was the best ever by a Mule at the CC Championships.
Muhlenberg played in six tournaments during the season, frequently going
up against opponents from Divisions I and II. The Mules established a team
low by shooting a 416 at their own invitational.
Newcomers Hayley Cush, Lauren Schram and Sarah
Ivosevich rounded out a top five that included no seniors.
