Saturday, January 13 WOMENS BASKETBALL Muhlenberg 90, Haverford 51. Senior Jennifer ONeill scored a career-high 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting as Muhlenberg snapped its three-game losing streak by reaching the 90-point mark for the first time in five years. The Mules shot 57 percent from the field in the first half to sprint out to a 53-30 lead. Junior Lindsay St. Lawrence added 15 points, and freshman Becky Richmond had the best game of her young career with 7 points, 10 rebounds and 3 steals. Click here for box score. MENS BASKETBALL Muhlenberg 57, Haverford 56. Junior Michael Barlettas steal, full-court layup and free throw with 1:07 remaining gave Muhlenberg a 57-54 lead en route to its first Centennial Conference win of the season. Haverford got the ball back, down a point, with 17 seconds to play but could not get off a final shot. Junior Mark Lesko led the Mules with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Junior Joshua Carter saw his most extensive varsity playing time and recorded 3 steals. Click here for box score. INDOOR TRACK & FIELD at Lehighs Covert Classic. Muhlenberg sent a handful of athletes to Lehigh for a meet that included mostly Division I teams. Freshman Josh Cohen set the school record in the 400 meters with a 53.04. Senior Katrina Beck placed sixth in the high jump (5-0). WRESTLING Muhlenberg 54, Maritime (N.Y.) 3; Muhlenberg 26, Kings Point 15. Muhlenberg extended its longest winning streak in seven years to seven matches with a pair of wins at Kings Point. Junior Bill Holsinger (149) and senior Jason McLean (141) both remained undefeated in dual matches, while junior heavyweight Tyler Cathey stayed undefeated for the season (7-0). Sophomores Nate Yeasted (133) and Joe Salerno (157) also were double winners. Click here for box scores.
