HOLSINGER RANKED 5th IN DIVISION III
Senior Bill Holsinger of the Muhlenberg wrestling team
is ranked fifth in Division III at 149 pounds,
according to the adidas/Brute NWCA poll released just prior to the
Thanksgiving holiday.
This is the highest ranking ever for Holsinger, who was eighth for most of
last year and seventh in the preseason poll. He is off to an 8-0 start,
including the 149-pound championship at the Kings tournament, in
which he decisioned seventh-ranked Rory Tobias of Oneonta State, 4-3, in
the title bout.
Holsinger has two potential upcoming meetings with the second-ranked
wrestler in his class, Andy Vogel of Messiah. The Mules compete at
Messiahs Petrofes Invitational this weekend and host the Falcons in a
dual match next Friday.
Senior Tyler Cathey, who has yet to wrestle this year, is ranked eighth at
heavyweight. Western Maryland, Muhlenbergs opponent in a dual next
Wednesday, is ranked 21st.
