A weekly look at what’s going on in the Centennial Conference:

Women’s Basketball
Gettysburg, the next opponent for Muhlenberg, extended its winning streak to five with a 68-62 upset of No. 23 Lebanon Valley ... Johns Hopkins nearly pulled off an upset of a nationally ranked team, but No. 7 DeSales hit two free throws with eight seconds left to escape with a 67-66 win. In CC action, Hopkins defeated Haverford, 91-41 ... McDaniel has won three in a row after doubling up Bryn Mawr, 80-40 ... Franklin & Marshall won the Bahamas Goombay Shootout by defeating No. 25 Carnegie Mellon (which had knocked off King’s) in the championship game, but fell to No. 17 Messiah back in the States.

Men’s Basketball
Franklin & Marshall rolled past Goucher (82-49), Alvernia (101-61) and McDaniel (93-56) and has won its last five games by an average margin of 37.2 points ... Johns Hopkins scored a big win for the CC by knocking off fourth-ranked Catholic, 77-69 ... Haverford played Division I Lehigh close before falling, 86-74, then snapped a five-game losing streak with a 69-59 win against Stevens Tech ... The 2002 CC semifinal matchups will be revisited on Wednesday when Muhlenberg travels to Gettysburg and F&M hosts Ursinus.
