Entering the final week of the regular season, three of the four playoff
spots are secure. Johns Hopkins clinched the West, and Muhlenberg can
clinch the East (and homecourt throughout the playoffs) with two wins in
its three remaining games (or by just defeating Swarthmore) ... The race
for
second place in the West got closer when Gettysburg knocked off McDaniel,
78-70. McDaniel has two tough road games this week (at Johns Hopkins and
Washington), while Gettysburg finishes up with Ursinus and Dickinson.

Swarthmores 71-50 win against Johns Hopkins had a big impact on both
divisions. The Garnet now has the upper hand in the race for the second
East playoff berth, although it finishes with road games against
Muhlenberg and archrival Haverford. The Mules arent mathematically
eliminated yet: if they win their final three games, they can finish in a
four-way tie for second IF Washington wins at home against
Haverford AND Haverford beats Swarthmore AND Washington
loses at home to McDaniel ... In the West, Gettysburg travels to Ursinus
for
a tough game on Wednesday. Johns Hopkins finishes with home games against
McDaniel and Franklin & Marshall. Dickinson has a chance to play spoiler
in road games against F&M and Gettysburg this week.
