Playing for the first time in two weeks, the Muhlenberg men’s basketball team shot just 27.1 percent in suffering a 71-43 loss to Muskingum in the first game of the Muskingum Holiday Tournament.

The Mules (3-3) trailed by eight points, 32-24, at halftime, then made only one field goal in the first eight minutes of the second half. The Muskies (5-3) went on a 17-4 run during that span to open up a 21-point lead.

Muhlenberg made only five field goals and shot 17.2 percent in the second half.

Freshman Jeff Stewart led the Mules with 10 points. He has scored in double figures in all but one game this season.
