The Mules look to be peaking at the right time, posting several excellent performances in preparation for the CC
Freshman Jacquelyn Inverso broke a school record for the second straight week, with a winning long jump of 16-3. Stephanie Kaliner set the previous record in 1996, jumping 16-2. Inverso broke Kaliners school triple jump record last week at Bucknell. Two other freshmen, Rachel Drosdick and Lauren Carballo placed third and fourth, respectively, in the long jump. Junior Kristin Boydston picked up her second win of the year in the shot put, with a throw of 34-2. Senior Frank Santini was tops among four Mule placewinners in the mens shot, placing fourth. Junior John Brodowski, who will attempt to repeat as CC indoor high jump champ next week, won that event with a jump of 5-10. Senior Matt Frye placed second in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 13-6. Sophomore Karen Mount placed second in the womens 1,500 meters in a time of 5:00.49. Freshman Lex Mercado won his heat and placed fourth overall in the mens 400, missing the school record by four one-hundredths of a second.
