Monday’s women’s basketball game between Muhlenberg and Moravian is scheduled to be televised live by Service Electric TV2.

The two local rivals will both enter the game with winning records. The Mules are 8-5, and the Greyhounds have tied their second-best start ever with a 12-2 mark. Each team will play twice before Monday.

Monday’s game will be the ninth Matte Award contest of the 2004-05 year. Muhlenberg leads the annual series, 5-3.

The Moravian women’s game will also mark the first WMUH broadcast of 2005. WMUH 91.7 FM is planning to air every subsequent women’s and men’s home game for the rest of the season. To listen in to WMUH broadcasts, bookmark this page.

Shutte Named Head Men’s Golf Coach

Rob Shutte Muhlenberg has hired Rob Shutte as head men’s golf coach.

A PGA member, Shutte is a 2003 graduate of the Professional Golf Management program at Penn State University. He has taught at the John Jacobs Golf Schools in Phoenix, Ariz., worked for the Metropolitan PGA and served as an assistant golf professional at Arcola Country Club in Paramus, N.J., Cherry Valley Country Club in Skillman, N.J., and nearby Center Valley Golf Club.

Shutte replaces Mario Bellomo, who coached the team in the fall and left to take a job at a club in Ohio.

Shutte inherits a Muhlenberg squad that won its fourth Centennial Conference championship in eight years in 2004.
