Womens Basketball: Ursinus 70, Muhlenberg 60. The Mules once again went cold from the field at the wrong time and dropped their fifth consecutive Centennial Conference game. Trailing 54-40 midway through the second half, Muhlenberg went on a 9-0 run, capped when senior Aril Bryant drove the lane to beat the shot-clock buzzer. But the Mules (8-8, 4-5) went more than five minutes without scoring again, and by that time Ursinus (8-9, 4-6) had a 16-point lead, its biggest of the game. Muhlenberg shot just 30.6 percent. Junior Stephanie Coluccini posted her third double-double with team highs of 12 points and 11 rebounds. Click here for box score. Mens Basketball: Ursinus 86, Muhlenberg 75. The Mules (8-9, 5-5) turned the ball over on their first four possessions, falling behind 9-0, and could never recover in dropping their second road game in three days. Ursinus (9-8, 6-4) shot 58 percent in the first half to take a 47-25 lead into the locker room. Muhlenberg pecked away but was not able to get any closer than 10 points, and that was with only three minutes left. Sophomore Jeff Stewart had game highs of 20 points and 11 rebounds for his 10th double-double. Junior Jimmy OBrien added 15 points and seven boards. Click here for box score. |
