A dusting of snow and wind chill temperatures in the single digits didn’t prevent the Muhlenberg men’s basketball team from touring Colonial Williamsburg on its off-day in Virginia.

The second capital of Virginia (after Jamestown and before the current capital of Richmond), Williamsburg was restored to its colonial look (c. 1770) in the 1930s.

At left, the Mules pose for a group picture in front of the Governor’s Palace, whose first two residents were Thomas Jefferson and Patrick Henry.

At right, sophomore Chris Pothering samples the pillory. In colonial times, this was used as punishment for point guards who committed too many turnovers.

Muhlenberg will return home after playing Christopher Newport on Tuesday.
