To celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day last Wednesday, Muhlenberg welcomed more than two dozen inner-city girls to Memorial Hall and Deitrich Field House. The girls rotated among seven stations, where they learned skills from members of the Muhlenberg women’s basketball, field hockey, soccer, softball, track and field and volleyball teams. The event, organized by SAAC, gave the girls an opportunity to play sports to which they otherwise might not be exposed. |
