Stewart was chosen from a group that included the top players at the five other area small college teams (Delaware Valley, DeSales, East Stroudsburg, Kutztown and Moravian). The balloting was conducted at the LVCBMOs final luncheon of the season, at Starters Pub in Bethlehem. Stewart leads the Mules in scoring (19.7 points per game), rebounding (10.1 rebounds per game), blocked shots (48) and field-goal percentage (.524). He leads the Centennial Conference and ranks in the top 40 in Division III in both rebounding and blocked shots. Stewart has scored 20 or more points 14 times and tied a CC record with 14 double-doubles. In less than two complete seasons, Stewart already has 830 career points. Jeff snuck up on teams his freshman year and didnt see as many double- and triple-teams as he sees now, said Muhlenberg Head Coach Dave Madeira. This year he has gotten more relentless and has really improved his team defense. Mule junior guard Kristen Piscadlo was named to the womens Team of the Year. Piscadlo leads Muhlenberg in scoring (11.8 points per game), assists (96) and steals (52) and is second in three-pointers (51). On the programs all-time lists, she has moved up to third in three-pointers (113) and fourth in assists (249). |
