The Muhlenberg track and field teams unveiled new cardinal and grey uniforms at their first meet of the 2006 season, the Kutztown Invitational. The bodies inside the new unis showed the results of their hard work in preparation for the opener, coming home with performances that put the Mules ahead of where they were after the first meet last year.

Senior Danielle Seiler (right) and junior Rachel Drosdick (left) qualified for the ECAC Championships while winning the 500 meters and long jump, respectively. Seiler, who passed a Kutztown runner in the final few meters to take first place, eclipsed the qualifying standard by more than three seconds and broke the school record she set three years ago. She also ran the anchor leg on the 4x400 relay team, making up considerable ground en route to a second-place finish. Drosdick unleashed a 17-foot jump on her final attempt, coming within nine inches of the NCAA provisional standard. |
