Courtney (left) averaged 15.3 points and 8.0 rebounds per game and blocked four shots as the Mules went 3-0, including big wins against McDaniel and Johns Hopkins, last week. Courtney was the teams leading scorer in all three games. She had her third double-double of the season with 13 points and 12 rebounds as the Mules avenged their only loss of the season by defeating Johns Hopkins, and she scored 16 points in only 17 minutes vs. McDaniel. In the first game of the week, Courtney recorded 17 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three blocks against Franklin & Marshall. For the season, Courtney ranks in the top 10 in the CC in scoring (14.2 points per game), rebounding (8.2 per game), field-goal percentage (.465) and blocked shots (12). The three wins extended Muhlenbergs streak to eight, tying the third-longest in team history, and moved the Mules into a second-place tie in the CC. Courtney shared the honor with CC scoring leader Jennifer Bengel, who broke the Gettysburg school record for career points. |
