Kein scored two takedowns in the final 45 seconds of his bout to break a 6-6 tie.
Joseph DeCampo won a technical fall to help the Muhlenberg wrestling team defeat visiting Centenary, 29-18, in the first dual meet of the season for both teams.

With Muhlenberg ahead 6-3, freshman Rob Kein (141) recovered from a 6-2 deficit to record an 11-7 decision, his fifth victory of the year. It was the first of four straight wins for the Mules, giving them a 26-3 lead over the Cyclones.

DeCampo (149), who leads the Mules with 42 takedowns, had nine of them in 4:50 to record his first career technical fall. He won an early three-point near-fall and tired out his opponent with constant takedowns.

“I’ve been working a lot on my footwork,” said DeCampo. “I’ve been drilling with my teammates, and I could tell I was better on my feet today. We didn’t come out as great as we wanted to

today, but we did enough to get the win.”

Mills followed at 157 with his fourth pin of the season, and his second against the same opponent. The pin came at 2:30 on Mills’ third takedown of the period.

“I wrestled him my first match of the year, so I knew he had good hips,” said Mills. “I chose to wrestle him from the neutral position and it again worked to my advantage.”

After the Mules won a forfeit at 165, the Cyclones made it interesting with back-to-back pins, narrowing the score to 26-15. However, junior Matt Loesch (197) made his season debut and won a 3-2 decision after he escaped during the tiebreaker, clinching the victory for Muhlenberg.
