Sophomore Billy Hall of the Muhlenberg wrestling team is seventh at 133 pounds in the latest Brute - adidas National Wrestling Coaches

Hall is 9-4 overall and leads the Mules with seven near-falls.

Hall climbed into the rankings for the first time in his career after winning the 133-pound class at the Messiah Petrofes Invitational. Seeded sixth, he knocked off the third seed in the quarterfinals, the second seed in the semifinals and the fourth seed in the championship bout. Those three wrestlers were a combined 7-0 in the tournament with two major decisions, two technical falls and three pins before facing Hall.

It was the first time competing at 133 this season for Hall, who went 5-4 at 141 in the first two tournaments. Last year, he placed in the top three at 133 in four tournaments.

Hall is the second Mule to earn a ranking this season. Two-time All-American Matt Loesch was third in the preseason poll but dropped out after beginning the year on the sidelines due to injury.
