Sophomore Kaitlin Strumph has contributed to the Mules’ fast start with 22 points, 20 rebounds and eight assists while averaging 14 minutes per game.

The Mules, off to an 8-0 start, are one of 18 remaining undefeated teams in Division III. They have outscored their opponents by an average of 20.1 points per game.

In the D3hoops.com national poll, the Mules just missed out on the top 25, garnering the most votes in the “others receiving votes” section.

Muhlenberg has received votes in the D3hoops.com poll 11 straight weeks. Last year, the Mules were ranked 15th for two weeks late in the season and finished 20th.

Prior to last season, the Mules had not appeared in the top 25 since 2002, when they climbed as high as No. 8.

Muhlenberg is 34-3 since the start of last season and has set a school record with 16 straight regular-season wins. The team also has tied the mark for consecutive home wins (20) and will try to set a new standard when it comes back from finals to host Susquehanna on Saturday.
