impressive 73-43 win at Drew.

The win was Muhlenberg’s seventh straight without a loss to open the season, and it came against a Ranger (5-3) squad that took Moravian into overtime on Monday.

Wright didn’t stop at three threes, hitting two more before halftime and finishing the first half with 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting behind the arc. Nor was she the only one dialing long distance: junior Abra Like and sophomore Lauren Boyle combined for three more three-pointers in the half, helping the Mules take a 36-16 lead with 7:34 to go before halftime.

Drew closed out the half with a 16-2 run to slice the margin to four. Although Muhlenberg slowed down with its shooting in the second half, it picked up its defense. The Rangers made only three field goals after the break as the Mules pulled away.

For the game, Muhlenberg held Drew’s two all-star guards to 8-of-31 shooting, and only three of the Rangers’ 15 baskets were assisted.

Senior Meghan Courtney finished with a game-high 19 points, eight in a 19-2 run to open the second half. She also blocked four shots. Wright had 17 points, five rebounds and four assists.
