trio of mules PERFORM well in pentathlon

All three Muhlenberg athletes who competed in the Muhlenberg Pentathlon posted personal-best scores.

Senior Erika Koop (left), competing in her first pentathlon ever, finished third with 2,523 points, the third-best mark in team history. Koop won the shot put and cut two seconds off her 55-meter hurdles time in just her second try at the event.

Senior Adam Carter improved his personal best by 27 points to 3,042. He won the final event, the 1,000 meters, and was third out of eight competitors in the high hurdles and shot put.

Senior Paul Kegelman scored 1,963 points, an increase of 147 from his previous best.
