Former Division I wrestler Mike Kocsis (right), one of the top natural bodybuilders in the world, is Muhlenberg’s new coach.

Senior Colin Gibson (left) was one of two Muhlenberg wrestlers named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the winter 2008-09 season.

Matt Horn February 21: Horn wins CC title; two to nationals
Muhlenberg senior Matt Horn (right) won the 184-pound title at the Centennial Conference Championships, earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships. Senior Rob Kein lost by a point in the 149-pound final and received the CC’s at-large berth to nationals.

February 19: CC championship preview
After a successful close to the dual-meet season, Muhlenberg will look for a strong showing at the Centennial Conference Championships.

Kevin Homan February 14: Muhlenberg wins final CC duals
The Mules wrapped up their dual-meet season with wins against Washington and Lee and McDaniel. Freshman 141-pounder Kevin Homan (left) was one of two Mules to go 2-0 on the day.

February 12: Grand home finale for seniors
Muhlenberg defeated Messiah, 25-20, in its final home match of the season. All four seniors who wrestled for the Mules won their matches.

Bill Sholly February 7: Upper weights lift Mules to road win
The Mules won at the final four weight classes to defeat Scranton, 26-12. Sophomore Bill Sholly (right) recorded one of the four wins, a 5-0 shutout at 197.

Justin Fitch February 4: Mules fall at home to Ursinus
Muhlenberg nearly came back from a 19-4 deficit but lost to Ursinus, 22-17. Senior Justin Fitch (left) notched a major decision at 174.

January 31: Kein beats nationally ranked foe
Senior Rob Kein beat the wrestler ranked sixth in Division III at 149 in a tri-match at Merchant Marine. The Mules lost to both the host school and Stevens.

Billy Hall January 24: Muhlenberg wins first CC duals
Muhlenberg swept Gettysburg and Johns Hopkins in its first two Centennial Conference dual matches of the season. Senior Billy Hall (right), in his first bout of the season, pinned his Gettysburg opponent in 48 seconds.

Keith Swanson January 22: Mules fall at King’s
Sophomore Keith Swanson (left) scored a 4-2 decision for three of Muhlenberg’s six points in a 39-6 loss at King’s.

Nick Pallotta January 17: Two win titles at W&L
Seniors Rob Kein and Matt Horn won their brackets at the Washington and Lee Invitational. Freshman Nick Pallotta (right) pinned three opponents to finish third at heavyweight.

January 7: Shorthanded Mules drop two
Without many of its starters, Muhlenberg lost its first two dual matches of the season to Elizabethtown and host New York University. Senior Matt Horn accounted for 12 of the Mules’ 18 points with a pair of pins.
