Renee Dessimone October 24: Lightning strikes for Mules in playoff-clinching win
Heavy rain and a lightning delay couldn't keep Muhlenberg from clinching a berth in the Centennial Conference playoffs with a 1-0 win at Franklin & Marshall. Sophomore Renee Dessimone (left) scored the game’s lone goal.

Christine Schaefer October 21: Muhlenberg wins fourth straight
Senior Christine Schaefer (right) scored her first goal of the season for what proved to be the game winner in the Mules’ fourth straight victory, 3-1 at Bryn Mawr.

Maggie Neary October 19: Neary honored by CC
Freshman Maggie Neary (left) was named defensive player of the week by the Centennial Conference after helping Muhlenberg to a pair of wins over nationally ranked teams.

Kimberly hacker October 17: Another night, another upset
Senior Kimberly Hacker (right) broke a scoreless tie midway through the second half and senior Christina O’Grady added an insurance goal as Muhlenberg upset No. 7 Johns Hopkins, 2-0. The win moves the Mules into a virtual tie for first in the Centennial Conference with two weeks left in the regular season.

Kasey Hacker October 14: Mules upset Swarthmore, move into second
The Mules scored two goals in the first 6:10 and held on to defeat Swarthmore, which was ranked in the top 20 in both Division III polls, 2-1. Senior Kasey Hacker (left) scored the game-winning goal.

Sophomore Meghan O’Grady (right) scored the insurance goal in a 2-0 win at Washington.

October 7: Mules fall in overtime
Moravian scored two late goals, one in overtime, to come back and beat the Mules, 2-1.

October 3: Muhlenberg falls to No. 21 Dickinson
Muhlenberg took a 1-0 lead in the first minute of the game, but No. 21 Dickinson came back to win, 4-1.

Christina O'Grady September 29: Mules hand Haverford first loss
Senior Christina O’Grady (left) tallied two assists in Muhlenberg’s 4-2 victory over previously undefeated Haverford.

September 26: Muhlenberg falls to Scranton
The Mules came back once but not a second time and lost at Scranton, 2-1.

Natalie Wizel September 19: Mules breeze to win in CC opener
Muhlenberg blanked McDaniel 5-0 in its first Centennial Conference game of the season. Freshman Natalie Wizel (right) capped the scoring with her first career goal.

September 16: Top-ranked team ends Mule streak
Visiting Messiah, ranked No. 1 in Division III, prevailed 6-1 to snap the Mules’ three-game winning streak.

Jennifer Lynch September 13: Muhlenberg tames Lions
Muhlenberg shut out Penn State Altoona, 3-0, snapping the Lions’ 23-match regular-season unbeaten streak. Senior Jennifer Lynch (right) scored the first of the three goals.

Nicolette Miller September 10: Mules win big in home opener
Sophomore Nicolette Miller (left) assisted on two goals as Muhlenberg blanked DeSales, 6-0, in its home opener.

Lauren Petri September 6: Muhlenberg picks up first win
Muhlenberg notched its first win of the 2009 season, defeating St. Joseph’s 1-0 on a second-half goal by junior Lauren Petri (right). The Mules held a 26-7 advantage in shots.
