Season review The youthful Mules gained valuable experience and saw marked improvement over the course of the season.

November 22: Eight named to Academic Honor Roll Juniors Abby Simons (left) and Matt Lauletti (right) were among eight Mule runners named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for achievement in the classroom and on the course.

November 21: Torphy competes at nationals Junior Bobby Torphy closed out the season running in the biggest Division III meet of all.

November 17: NCAA preview Junior Bobby Torphy heads to nationals on Saturday.

November 15: Torphy invited to national meet Junior Bobby Torphy (left) received a bid to the NCAA Division III Championships. This is the fifth straight year a Mule has qualifed for nationals.

November 14: Torphy has a chance at nationals Junior Bobby Torphy put himself in position for an invitation to the NCAA Championships with his performance at the Mideast Regional.

November 13: NCAA regional preview Muhlenberg is the host school for the NCAA Mideast Regional, a qualifier for the national championships.

October 31: Mules fifth, seventh At the Centennial Conference Championships, the Mule men finished fifth and the women seventh. Junior Kate Mahoney was the top individual for the Mules, coming in 20th. Sophomore William Lowrey (right) was 30th in the men’s race.

October 29: CC championship preview The Muhlenberg teams are poised to improve on last year’s finishes at the Centennial Conference Championships.

October 17: Mules brave elements in solid tuneup Running in 39-degree windy conditions, the Muhlenberg cross country teams ran well at the Leopard Invitational in their final meet before the Centennial Conference Championships. Senior Patrick Thornton (left) came in 34th for the men, who finished eighth overall but first among Division III teams. The women were fifth, beating two Division I squads.

October 2: Many improve at Lehigh Sophomore Melissa Ugelow (right) was one of several Muhlenberg runners to show improvement at Lehigh’s Paul Short Run, coming in 23rd out of almost 250 runners. The Mule women were 12th, while the men were 10th.

September 19: Success for Muhlenberg at Dickinson meet The men and women competed at the Dickinson Long/Short Invitational but did not have team scores. Junior Kate Mahoney (left) came in 10th in the 6K for the women.

September 4: Mules fourth at LV meet Both Mule teams placed fourth at the Lehigh Valley Championships. Junior Bobby Torphy came in sixth to lead the men.

August 17: Bracetty named head coach David Bracetty (right), an assistant with the Muhlenberg track and field teams last spring, has been named head cross country coach.
