The Muhlenberg College Chapel
Christian Community is known as “Faith
Works”. While the College celebrates its roots and affiliation
with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in American (ELCA), FaithWorks
welcomes students from many Christian backgrounds.
Our
program is built on the foundation expressed in Acts 2:42 (NRSV) “They
devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship,
to the breaking of bread and the prayers”. Like the early
church, we seek to be in community with one another, providing
opportunities
for each person to express their God-given gifts in ways that
serve the campus and Allentown communities.
Please use the pages of this site to explore how you might join
us in encountering the mysteries of faith as God reveals them to
us in our daily lives through education, fellowship, our relationships
with one another, and prayers.
During the College years your education
will happen in many different places, in and out of the classroom.
Our Chapel seeks to provide opportunities to explore, challenge,
and wonder about the mysteries of faith, religion and spirituality.

Getting
to know one another is central to our life together. There are
a number
of social events to help
us get to know each other. We have many programs that we host
and share with other campus groups. MORE ->
Prayers
and worship are the heart of what we do together. As we gather
to hear God’s
word and experience God’s grace, we are the church. We
gather for worship each Sunday afternoon at 1 PM in the Egner
Memorial
Chapel. MORE ->
Jesus
was well known for breaking bread with all kinds of people. His
ministry was one of presence
with all people so they could hear and experience the Gospel.
We strive to imitate that ministry through reaching out to people
on and off campus.
